Exposition Writing

The children have been working hard to get their exposition writing finished this week.  They are learning to argue one point of view, giving reasons to support their arguments.  They have found this quite tricky.  We have been writing our first expositions about 'too much sugar' based on Nigel Latta's documentary about sugar that was on television a while back.

Library Time Today

In the library today, we read some great stories.  Some of us worked on our 'Expositions' that we started writing this week about the problem with too much sugar in our diets.  We are focussing on social issues and forming opinions about things that are happening around us at the moment in New Zealand.  The children are starting to write some very powerful EXPOSITIONS!   By Mrs
Wright  ps: it has been exciting to see and hear about children doing some extra research at home about sugar.  Well done children.
