Room 7's happy hour

Room 7 have achieved their first happy happy hour by being self managed and working quietly
without calling out. Tomorrow, children can wear mufti and bring something to play with for one hour.  If possible, they can bring a small plate of food to share for morning tea.

Caritas Reflection

This week we made a Caritas Reflection after thinking about how we have been impacted by the work that Caritas does for others.  We reflected on our 'Live Simply' day, our liturgies, our visiting speaker, our toy stall to raise money and our mufti day where we had to earn the mufti day money by completing jobs around our house.   Some of the scrolls need to be finished but a few of the really focussed children have got theirs done already.  Well done to the finished children.  Can you recognise your scroll?

ANZAC reflection

Today we met in the hall to watch an ANZAC video and to learn an ANZAC song for our liturgy.

Crosses for ANZAC

This morning, Mrs Hill's dad Peter made and erected 25 crosses outside our church to help us remember the Taranaki soldiers who served in the war, but never came home.

We will be having a special liturgy on Friday to remember those heroes who fought for our freedom, and gave the ultimate sacrifice.  Please join us on Friday afternoon if you would like to come to church and join us.

Bronson's Birthday Treats!

Today we had a lovely surprise with Bronson bringing in delicious banana cupcakes for everyone in the class to celebrate his 8th birthday!  Happy Birthday Bronson!

Ms Richard's leaving ceremony.

This morning we farewelled Ms Richards with a Powhiri and a very funny skit by Room 8 called "My teacher's secret life".  We also gave Ms Richards an album that we had put together with little cards made by all of the children in the school.  The children were fabulous (as usual) and gave Ms Richards a very memorable send-off..a day she will never forget.
