pop art

On Tuesday Room 7 made some 'Pop-Art' with Mrs Fothergill.  We used sheets of paper with circles on them which we coloured in to make our pictures.  We had to outline a picture of ourselves on the dotty paper.  It was really fun and really effective.

inquiry Questions

we thought of two questions one about
                                                    evaporation and one about magnets.
After we thought of two questions, some children designed further investigations.  Huw and Flynn wanted to investigate if milk would evaporate like our water puddles.  They poured a cup of milk onto the concrete and observed throughout the day if the puddle of milk was disappearing.  It did evaporate!  They also wanted to know if the clouds would smell like milk.  Interesting question!

Magnet Madness

why can't the red side connect to another red side and the blue side with another blue?

We are figuring out which things stick to a magnet and which things do not stick.  We have to find ten things that stick and don't stick.
